Farm Visit (Part 2)

"We had our lunch at a very unique place before we proceed on to the next farm.

It was called the 'Bollywood Veggies Pte Ltd' and was located at Neo Tiew road. Not too far from the Goat Farm. Just a 5 minutes ride.

Poison Ivy Bistro - name of the restaurant allocated there had really caught my attention! It has both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned area for consumers. Quite cozy and you can relax and read the books from the book shelf there in a lazy afternoon.

There is also an Aromatic Garden with a pond next to the restaurant where you can have a walk there after your meal. You can also choose to stroll through the Organic farm to see what they have there. There are different types of veggie like lady finger, corn, long beans, cucumbers, bitter gourd, pumpkins, wintermelons, snake gourd, bottlegourd and many more. You can find bananas and papayas trees as well.

The uncommon medicinal trees and herbs like Horse Radish Tree, West Indian Pea Tree, Basil, Laksa Leaf and gingers can also be found there.

Kids would love to have a game of volleyball or basketball at the side of the restaurant if the weather is not too hot. Oh, there are simply too many things to explore there while I can't be listing all of them here. Do drop by the Bollywood Veggies website for more info."

"Oh, we really had a hearty meal and an enjoyed game of basketball at Bollywood Veggie Pte Ltd. Paul John had joined me in Papa's car on the way to the next farm. We sang songs along the way there and Incy Wincy Spider is one of the songs that we sang. It's cool to have his company along the journey."

"This is the Jurong Frog Farm, there are nothing else but frogs and more frogs! Those frogs that you see at the markets or restaurants are supplied by here. All frogs are huge in size while their baby tadpoles are also bigger than those found in the ponds."

"Next we went to the Fish Farm but I had forgotten to take any pics on the fishes but managed to capture the Tortoises while they were having their sun tan."

"The last stop that we went was the Vegetable center that sells fresh veggie as well as fruits. Uncle Francis even bought us half of a BIG water melon that was so juicy and tasty."

"This cute little squirrel was spotted at the Vegetable Center too. It was fed Pineapple by the care-giver there at the moment. He ate so fast that not after a minute, he's looking for another piece of pineapple.

It had been a fruitful trip and I had to thank Uncle Francis for leading us there. Looking forward for the next trip soon."
