Qing Ming

Qing Ming is a festival that we, Chinese hold memorial ceremony for the dead. It is also a time to express one's grief for his lost relatives! People often go to sweep and weed graves with whole family. Same as last year, I joined my parents and Grandparents + some Uncles and Aunties to pay a visit to our late Great Grandpa too!

Maybe I'm still young so I don't really know where we were going that Sunday but as long as it was a getaway from home, it's a good sign!

Kind of losing patient here in Daddy's car while waiting for the rest before the set off but...well, I can still pose for Mummy Handphone's camera! Haha...

Finally, we had reach our destination in the late afternoon but it was still quite packed with people. From the sight of the left over ashes, I think many people had also left too since it's once in a year affair to most who visit the deceases.

Then something amazed me as I was getting bored again! This paper mansion which completes with cars, swimming pool, garden, air con and blah blah blah...

It looked exactly like a toy to me so I kept telling my Grandparents - "...here's the air con, has 2 cars, can swim in the pool..." I think I heard the rest were laughing at me as I later found out from Mummy that the so called "Mansion" will be burnt to Great Grandpa while will he receive it in real "Mansion"??? Hmmm...Mummy is a Christian while she doesn't believe in all this but I guess that it would be a pity that it would be burnt away! What do you think?

Well, I got to pay a visit to my Mummy's Grandma who was my Great Grandma too this year at the Mandai Crematorium. This place is different as it comes with many blocks of tall buildings. Great Grandma was a Christian too so we just bought her flowers and Mummy started praying with her eyes closed. I think she must be missing Great Grandma a lot. Then it was my turn to pray for healthy.

My Birthday Celebration at Home

"I wish and I wish for more TOYS!" (Giggling)

I chose the cake with a Scoop all by myself! And we celebrated my birthday all by ourselves before my birthday was over that nite! I even ate the whole slice of cake all by myself too! Haha...

My Birthday Celebration in School

Hi, I'm back and here is my update on my Birthday celebration in school! That was the actual date of my birthday!

This is a MUST that we all have to go through every morning before the school starts! That's to gather at the void deck outside our school and sing the National Anthem follow by saying the pledge! Oops! You have spotted me for not paying attention? Hmm...

My teacher had asked me to strike a pose for the camera before my classmates join me for the celebration. I was so excited!

Then there was some quiet moment which I guess that I'm too "touched" for this arrangement. I actually cried the moment I saw Mummy & Nanny Agnes in my class! Am I over-reacting?

This is my cake! It was a surprise to me as I don't even know that I'm going to have Bob the builder as my cake!

Soon the moment had arrived, my classmates had joined me for the celebration...the moment which all of us were waiting for!

We all started singing the birthday song while someone already had her hand on the cake and was licking away happily...then it was gone in a dash when came to blowing off the candles! But I got to do it all over again by myself and with the help of my classmates secretly!

We all had our share on my birthday cake.

This is Brenda who is always ready to answer teacher's question! But she just would not like me to hold her hand!

She is Evangeline and I have find her kind of sweet!

Gerald had just joined us not long ago while he had a sister studying in the same school who is our senior at either K1 or K2. His appetite was so good that day which he had taken 3 slices of the cakes! He even cried when teacher refused to give him the 3rd piece! What a good plot man!

I was so happy and glad to see Ruby in my class as we came from the same Tots House before we joined our new school! She was also the one sitting next to me on the first day of school at Tots House! She even looked after me as she passed me lots of toys on that first day too! Do look back my past update on my 1st day at Tots House and you might get to see our pics together!

This is the most adorable boy in our school as he is in the smallest built but a very bright child! He is so independent and can do everything all by himself! Don't judge him as the youngest if you take his height as a gauge as he is just 1 month younger than me! We'll get to have his cake soon in May! Oh, forgotten to introduce him to you, he is Zhi Chen while we all call him as "Chen Chen"! Btw, every morning I would look for him to hold his hand while we all get ready to sing the National Anthem.

After having the cake, we would take turns to wash our hands in the toilet and dry our hands with the tissue papers.

I had my milk at Nanny place after school before Mummy & I went for a shopping spree at Causeway Point that day!

That's all for today while I'll show you my 3rd birthday cake on the next update! See you soon! Cheers!

My Birthday Party

Oh, so sorry for the long wait since my last update! Well, we just came back from a short trip and were too exhausted to pen our thoughts down on my blog...

Anyway, I still have to share my Birthday celebration party with you my "followers" out there! I am 3 now and was so lucky to have 3 birthday cakes in total! Here's my 1st birthday celebration party on 7 April which was 2 days before my actual birth date and we had it at Grandpa place. It was a family gathering with all my closest Grandpas, Grandmas, Aunties, Uncles and Nanny's family.

I had helped in "blowing" the balloons up for decoration and the party started off with the rest having their buffet dinner when the sky turned dark. Then the moment which I was waiting for had come - I opened my 1st present!

It was a COOL drum set which I just can't wait to play on...I guessed that I must have played it too "GOOD" which my parents had forbidden me to bring it home with me that day! It was left at Grandpa place...

Not long after my thrilling play on the drum set, Paul John helped me to unveil my 2nd present. It was a Lego set which I longed for! Nanny Agnes and family also got me a Lego tractor which I enjoyed playing with this Lego set too! I think I was spoilt with all the good toys!

My Birthday cake was brought out soon after unwrapping my presents. I was so excited as I saw one of my favorite cartoon characters - Thomas the tank on the cake!

Although it didn't look 100% the same like the real one but I was still very happy and can't wait to have a bite of it!

Soon, my cake had attracted both Charlene & Ryan to come nearer to my cake! It's such a pity that my buddy, Keith and Sister Ting were not able to attend my party!

Charlene's birthday is exactly 1 month after mine so it was sort of a birthday celebration for her as well! The birthday songs sound so nice as all the adults sang for me!

And I made my wish before I blew the candles..."I wish for more TOYS!" (that's for sure!)

I tried to blow off the candles here so no worries...(Uncle Manfred actually scared that I was burnt by the candle flame so he quickly pulled me back but too bad...it was too fast in action whereby none of the photographers had managed to capture a pic of it!)

So, I had Charlene there to help me in blowing off the candles!

The party might had ended but not to my updates on my Birthday celebration! Will update to you soon on my birthday celebration at my school! Will show you some of my classmates’ pics as well.

Oops! Almost forgotten to show you my Lego Animals world...

These were just part of the Lego that my Aunties had bought for me! A big thank you to you all! I had a sweet dream that nite!

Someone's Birthday too!

April is such a beautiful month as so many people have their birthdays in this month just as I do! Little Min Xi will be turning 1 year old on 11 April while I would miss her party as I have mine on the same day as hers! So we went to her place today to pass her the birthday gift bought last week!

She was so active and smiled at us often during our visit. She can crawl pretty fast now and is always trying hard to stand her way up. Although she might look tiny at the age of 1 but she is definitely a charming and bright princess! We had a good time together this afternoon man!

Look at Min Xi, and take a closer look on her legs muscle , she will grow up to be a tough girl in future! So don't think of bullying her huh!

The above pic was taken in February when Mummy met up with her at the KK Children Hospital during her check up there. She really looks bright and cheerful despite that she still have to go back for regular check up and feeding of medicine every few hours! Let's continue to pray for her and may she grow up healthily and as cheerful as ever! GOD blesses!

My Birthday is just round the corner too!

Well, I'm a very lucky boy as way before my birthday this year, Granpa had bought me a new bike! The height of the bike is just nice for me so that I can peddle well.

This pic was taken somewhere in February and it was during one of those test rides' days where I had it at the void deck.

Ozzy was glad to see my bike out from the store room everytime as it meant that he can join us for a walk too at the void deck or anywhere we go! Here's a video clip on my riding skill and it shown that I was already able to do a "sharp" turning at anytime!

Tomorrow is Good Friday while it is also my birthday as I was born on Good Friday in year 2004! It wasn't the actual date of my birthday but would hope that I'll be treated as it is my day tomorrow! I'm also looking forward to this coming Saturday as I'll be having my 3rd Birthday celebration at Grandpa's place! Overheard Mummy saying that my Aunties had already got the birthday presents for me while my Nanny Agnes also asked me what I want for my birthday! Of cos' my answer to anyone who ask me this similar qns, I would say toys man!

Happy Birthday Brother!

It's been 1 and a half year that Boi Boi had gone to another "world" according to Mummy but we still think of him at times...especially when we saw dogs of his breed.

Really don't know what to write here but just wish to send him a birthday note - Happy Birthday Bro! We all miss U!
