To the Zoo together!

We went to the Zoo together somewhere in September this year! It was a trip for US - the 3 kids: Ryan, Charlene & Myself! Thanks to Dad on his company's corporate Zoo card and both Uncle Bex & Aunty Janet who were willing to drive us there.

We were quite determined to catch some of the Animal shows which Mum had actually taken a pic of shows schedule using her mobile phone.

We reached our very 1st show destination of the NEW Splash performance by the Sea lions, Kingfisher and so on to find that the small and limited sitting areas where too overwhelming and occupied! We had missed the 1st show and hence consoling ourselves by taking a pic with the "Sea lions" instead!

We even took a pic of ourselves going by our heights! Of cos, Ryan would be the tallest among us followed by me and then Charlene.

We ended up catching none of the Animal show but were fortunate to have the Pony Rides! This was the very 1st time that I tried after so many visits to the Zoo...I was quite worried and scared at first but soon overcame the fear when the other Children also ride the Pony! I went before Ryan & Charlene.

Charlene can't wait to be the next one to go hence she actually shown her "Princess" attitude to Ryan demanding that it should be her turn after me!

Finally Ryan had his fair share of the Pony Ride!

We had this up-close adventure with a Kangaroo at their open exhibit concept!

Soon, everyone in the exhibit area crowded round the main actor of attraction!

It was this close that Mum could capture its pic so clearly! Ryan would suddenly shout out loud when there was a slight movement of this kangaroo...thinks he managed to scare off some of the adults too!

This pic below was just for FUN!

We visited the Baboons too while it was really up-close to the animals with just the glass panel as divider!

"Ahh..." what's wrong with Ryan?

Charlene with the VICTORY sign!

We had some fun with the "drums" near the Ben & Jerry ice-cream store at the Zoo entrance before saying Goodbye to the Zoo...despite that we don't catch a single Animal show for the day! But, it was quite an enjoyable trip for the 3 of us as we had fun!

Our outing with Uncle Bex and Aunty Janet will never get bored as we can go as far as we want, even from North to East! And YES, we did make our way to the Changi Airport for dinner after Zoo!

Don't get the wrong idea that we traveled all the way to Airport just for MacDonald! We didn't. We just stopped to make fun on this Ronald MacDonald's status while waiting for Aunty Janet to get a drink and an Apple pie for my Dad who was waiting for us at home! Haha...

"Catching" Fishes?

Been quite some time that I've blog here...think I'm just getting lazy or I've already grown up and getting less adorable? Hmm...

Well, back to my topic today, it's on an outing with Grandpa & Family on the 1st week of September. We had a dinner gathering at Bottle Tree Restaurant opposite the Yishun Stadium. It was a family gathering while we had a new member! That's "Gu Gu's" (Aunty Keri) boyfriend!

To me, the fun part of the dinner was not to eat or drink but to get to catch some fishes! Yes, there was a fishing pond for the Adults at one side of the restaurant and a shallow one for the Children like me! No one had granted me for catching the fishes except for Grandma who had borrowed the fishing net from a girl and I had a few minutes of fun till we went for dinner at the restaurant. Then Uncle Manfred quietly brought me to pay for the mini fish tank and fishing net after the dinner so that I can start catching the fishes.

We started off quietly, just the 2 of us at the pond till all the Adults were watching us trying to catch as many fishes as we could.

I had real fun but poor Uncle Manfred had to carry me here and there, and to ensure that I don't fall into the pond although it was shallow. Think he didn't want me to get wet.

I was able to put the fish into the tank all by myself after a few tries.

These were my prize winnings of the day, we counted to have about 13 of the fishes inside this mini tank. I was so excited that we brought the fishes back that nite and fed them with the given fish food. But the next day was the beginning of a sad story...

Many fishes did not make it till the next day and ONLY 1 fish left on the third day...then it was ALL GONE! Sigh...

I did call Uncle Manfred to keep him informed on the situation while he had promised me to go catch fishes again the next time. I was not even feeling moody or sad over the death of the fishes as whenever I ask Mummy where the fishes were, she would replied as they all gone to HEAVEN! Think I'm too busy with my toys which resulted that I got over the fishes quickly too.
