Paradise Country
Today, I'm going to show you one of my favorite places in Gold Coast! That's Paradise Country, a place where I get to experience the real Australia as stated on the brochure! :)
I can still remember that morning wait for the bus seemed extremely long...but I got to admire those beautiful flowers at our apartment's entrance!
When we reached Paradise Country, we were greeted by the "Cowboys" who ushered us to the Tram which will bring us to all the excitements!
To avoid long queue from the other groups of tourists, we headed straight to get our pics taken with Mummy's favorite Koala Bear! Mum's wish had finally fulfilled after all these years...well, she even mentioned that the Koala was heavy and its paws were so sharp! Luckily I wasn't tall enough to carry him or else...
Then it was fun time at the Animal Nursery! I just felt BOLD and started greeting and patting all the animals there!
My favorite was this little lamb who kept following me as he knew that I had food to feed him! I just kept feeding here and there at the animals!
And I even got a chance to feed him his milk! Within minute, the bottle was emptied and he was asking for more...
So I opted for another choice!
A video was captured on my feeding to this cutey as well.
We moved around the area and captured more pics with the Koala...
...more Koala...
The Kangaroo...
...and...Hmm...vehicles again! Haha.
These were taken in between of shows like the Billy Tea and Stock Horse Show where we got to experience the making and tasting on the traditional Australia Billy Tea, then witness the amazing horse skills of the stockmen in demonstration!
We even witnessed how the farm dogs showcase their skills to muster sheep, Stockmen displayed their expertise with the whip & their flair & accuracy in throwing Boomerangs!
Must take a pic with the little lamb up close!
And the farm dog!
Then it was the MUST SEE Sheep Shearing! We were seated just next to the door where the sheep would appear and walked their ways up to the stage then to where it should stand! It was so amazing that there wasn't anyone who led the sheep but they themselves lead their own way! I was kind of shocked by the sudden appearance of the sheep but soon I looked forward to it till the very last one! One poor sheep was then demonstrated on stage on how a Master Shearer shaves its wool off...and to make fun of some volunteers with the shaven wools!
Lunch was a delicious BBQ choice of steak, chicken or fish served with a buffet of salads and fruits platters! Mmmm...yummy! We were entertained by the live performance of an Aussie country singer while enjoying our lunch. So relaxing that we don't get to experience back home. I must visit this place again the next time or maybe to have a real farm stay if time permits.
We had our shopping spree after contacts with the Animals at the popular Harbour Town! No luck for me but Daddy & Mummy sure did get lots of good bargains on the parallel!
Anyway, I was treated to this surprise - the Monster Truck outside the hotel near our apartment while we were on our way back after dinner! It was so huge and you can't see or own one back home! How I wish I could have a ride on it...
